I love doing a post at the end of each year. Taking a moment to reflect on the past twelve months. It is actually proving expectionally different to pick out a handful of memorable people I’ve met in the past 365 days. So, rather than do that, I’ve picked some different moments that stand out as the best parts of the year.

Idris Elba: When I met him, he was a very nice guy because he helped me by using my iPhone for this selfie.

2/12/2015 at Empire IMAX

I went to the European premiere of a new action, adventure and biography film, Ron Howard’s ‘In the Heart of the Sea’ (2015) with my friends at outside of Empire IMAX, Leicester Square.

I hope that I must get a picture with an Australian actor, Chris Hemworth (Marvel’s Thor and Avengers film series) because I failed it three times but I have his autograph two years ago. Last I saw him at the European premiere of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) at Vue cinema,Westfield Shepherds Bush. If you remember that I mentioned it in my old blog post – London film premiere of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Anyway the film is based on the true story that inspired Moby Dick, about the 1820 event, a whaling ship is preyed upon by a Sperm Whale, stranding its crew at sea for 90 days, thousands of miles from home.

In fact, Chris Hemsworth prepared for the role of starving sailors, the cast were on a diet of 500 – 600 calories a day to lose weight in the film.

Here’s the actor’s body transformation:

Before:

After:

I was screenshot the actor’s Instagram account on my iPhone.

At the premiere, first Chris Hemsworth arrived and he signed autographs and posed for selfies while greeting fans.

The Australian actor actor finished posing himself on the carpet for photos by professional photographers. I waved him then he towards me and I took selfie:

Finally I got it! He was very friendly with me. He will in his upcoming film projects: Kevin in Ghostbusters (2016) and Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok (2017).

Later, a young British actor, 19 years old, Tom Holland arrived at the carpet. I easily recognised him from the musical, Billy Elliot at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London and played Billy Elliot as well as for staring in The Impossible (2012). Also he recently played Gregory Cromwell in the TV mini series, Wolf Hall (2015) on BBC.

Tom Holland began signing autographs and poses for selfies while greeting fans. I took selfie with him:

He was nice guy. He will be next teenager Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the upcoming Marvel’s Captian America: Civil War (2016) and untitled Spider-Man Reboot (2017).

I missed to get pictures with Ron Howard and Cillian Murphy but never mind. Plenty time in the future. The premiere was not bad. Now I have some premieres coming up before end of 2015 and also I will write my new blog posts soon.

9/11/2015 at Vue West End and Duke of York theatre’s stage door

The world premiere of the biographical movie “Ronaldo” at Vue West End cinema, Leicester Square, London.

The documentary film from the producers of Senna (2010) and Amy (2015) is about a close look at the life of the former Manchester Untied and the Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, his family and friends and the sport, this is the first official and fully authorised film of one of the most celebrated figures in football during filmed over 14 months.

I arrived at the red carpet, with my friends, around midday. We were given wristbands by the security men, which we have never experienced before.

Cristiano Ronaldo arrived on the red carpet. He did an interview with a presenter. Then he prepared to take selfies. He was hoping to beat the world record for the most selfies in 3 minutes (Check it out on YouTube). We quickly posed with him and went into a pen.

Unfortunately the footballer failed attempt the record means the actor, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson currently keeps hold of the title which he accomplished at the premiere of San Andreas in London, May 2015 with an unmatched 105 selfies. I missed that event because I had an exam at my college.

Afterwards Guinness World Records adjudgicator, Mark McKinley presented the footballer with an honorary certificates for his many amazing world record achievements.

These included:

  • Most goals in a UEFA Champions League season by an individual (17)
  • Most Fifa world player of the Year awards (3)
  • Most liked person on Facebook (male).
  • Most followed athlete on Twitter (with 37, 831, 159 followers as of 15 September 2015)
  • Most hat-tricks in a La Liga career (25)

The footballer and his family finished posing together for photos by professional photographers.

He immediately began signing autographs and posed for some selfies while greeting hundreds of fans.

I got his autograph:

I also got the Chelsea forward on loan, Radamel Falcao’s autograph:

A host of celebrated football names were presents including Gary Neville, Radamel Falaco, Louis Saha, Jose Mourinho, Thibaut Courtois and Sir Alex Ferguson. Some I missed to getting their autographs or pictures. Never mind.

End of the premiere, it was good experience. I hope that the footballer might post all the pictures with his fans on “Ronaldo” Facebook, because he got a picture with me!

Anyway my friends went home, I went to West End’s Duke of York theatre, waited until the theatre actor Mark Rylance came out at the stage door because mum wanted me to get his autographs. She is fan of his acting.

Mum recommended that I go to see Tom Hank alongside him in the upcoming Steven Spielberg film – Bridge of Spies. She watched the film at a cinema in New York City a few weeks ago. It opens here in London at the end of November.

Around ten, Mark Rylance came out of the stage door with his bike. He stopped to sign autographs and pose for some selfies while greeting his fans.

Here’s his autograph:

And selfie:

I returned home and I gave the actor’s autograph to mum. She was surprised and delighted. She loves it.

Next day, Luke sent me a picture of Cristiano Ronaldo and me on Whatsapp from Ronaldo’s Facebook account!

The legendary footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo taking a selfie with me on his iPhone! It was a brilliant experience. I thanked Luke, who found it.

I know this blog post is long – I thank you for reading and following me.

26/10/2015 at Royal Albert Hall

The world premiere of James Bond’s Spectre was at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington, London. I have never before attended any film premieres at the famous concert hall in my life.

I went to the premiere with my friends, first James Bond (Daniel Craig) arrived on the red capert. I was very close to getting a picture with him but I failed, because he was rushing while greeting fans. I was gutted. Next time?

Sadly, I missed to getting pictures with some stars from the film, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, Monica Bellucci, Naomie Harris and Andrew Scott but I got two pictures:

The stunning French actress, Lea Seydoux:

She willingly signed autographs and posed for selfies with her fans. I easily recognised her from Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds (2009), Blue Is the Warmest Colour (2013) and Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014).

And here is the Oscar winner for Best director for American Beauty (1999), Sam Mendes:

He came towards me and I took a selfie with him while he was greeting fans. Also I got his autograph:

I have watched the successful films directed by Sam Mendes: American Beauty, Road to Perdition and Skyfall.

I got four more autographs from the red capert:

  1. Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actor for Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained (2012), Christoph Waltz:
  2. I have a picture with Dave Bautista from last April – click here (It was a picture in my old blog post). Here his autograph:
  3. I don’t know Rory Kinner well but he is the small role in 007 film series.
  4. I was surprised that the Welsh footballer, Gareth Bale, who plays as a winger for Real Madrid and the Wales national team was on the red capert. He came to see the new film. I got his autograph:

End of the premiere, I am gutted that I missed getting pictures with some of the cast from the film and lots of the celebrities who attended like Martin Freeman, David Williams and etc. It was massive the premiere was same as BAFTA awards.

19/10/2015 at Empire cinema

Following the post – London film festival, I went to the European premiere of ‘The Last Witch Hunter’ with my friends were at Liecester Square.

The action, adventure and fantasy story is all that stands between humanity and the combined forces of the most horrifying witches.

The 48 years old actor, Vin Diesel that I easily recognised him since I watched him played in voice of ‘The Iron Giant’ (1998) when I was six years old. Also he played Private Caparzo in ‘Saving Private Ryan’.

In fact, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker (1973 to 2013) were close friends. They were together in Fast and Furious film series since 2001. Last March 2015, the actor’s third child, a daughter is named Pauline after his late friend, Paul Walker after he died in a car accident in Los Angeles.

He voiced Groot in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). He recorded Groot’s famous line, “I am Groot” over 1,000 times.

At the premiere, first the legend British actor, Michael Caine arrived and he signed autographs and some selfies while greeting fans but I already have his autograph and photograph with him last year.

Then Vin Diesel arrived on the red carpet. He immediately signing autographs and take selfies while greeting fans. The actor came towards me and I took a selfie:

I love it then he signed autograph in my small book:

I showed my picture with him to his agent then he said to me:”Good one”.

Later, Rose Leslie finished with the media then immediately signing autographs and selfies while greeting fans. I took a selfie:

And here’s her autograph:

I know her from HBO tv series, Game of Thrones. I would catch up and watch the fifth season but I have to wait until the DVD box set next year.

Elijah Wood was unable attend to the premiere due to he hosted for Conan on the talk-show in Los Angeles, California. Anyway I already met him last year.

I surprised that I saw the Israeli actress, Gal Gadot from Fast and Furious film series and she will play Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the upcoming film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), I was very close to get a picture with her but it didn’t happen this time. Next time?

End of the premiere, I was happy with my picture with Vin Diesel. Now I am currently typing my upcoming blog post about the world premiere of 007’s Spectre (2015) soon.

18/10/2015 at LFF: Closing night gala of Steve Jobs

It was last day of the film festival for this year.

I went to the gala of Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs with my friends. The film director returned to close the festival for the third time, in the past – following Slumdog Millionaire (2008), and 127 Hours (2010).

The film tells you the three stories: product launches – the Macintosh in 1984, The NeXT Cube in 1988, and the iMac in 1998.

The comedian/actor, Seth Rogen was not attending the gala due to currently filming Bad Neighbours 2 (2016). I hope that I would like to meet him in the future.

Anyway the film is highly been given 4 and 5 stars reviews from the Telluride and New York film festivals. I have to wait until the film will be release this November 2015.

At the gala, Jeff Daniels arrived and immediately signed autographs but he still refuses to pose with fans for pictures which is very annoying. I already have his autograph last month.

Michael Stahlbarg was greeting fans. I politely asked him for picture then he posed with me:

I know him from the lead role in the Coen Brothers’s ‘A Serious Man’ (2010) after which he became a well known screen actor. Also he played the infamous Jewish mobster and gambler, Arnold Rothstein during the Prohibition era in HBO TV series, Boardwalk Empire (2010 – 2014). I watched all the seasons. Anyway I thanked him for a picture. He was very gracious with all his fans.

I didn’t get Danny Boyle’s autograph or picture because he was very busy with the media. Also I was very close to getting a picture with Kate Winslet but her agent pulled her away to the media. I was gutted. Next time?

Finally Michael Fassbender came towards me and I took a selfie:

He is the nicest actor. He and the film director, Steve McQueen (Not confuse another the old famous actor, Steve McQueen in 1960s and 1970s) have been collaborating on films since 2008: The Hunger, Shame and 12 Years a Slave. He also plays Erik Lensherr/Magneto alongside Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) in X-Men series.

Which will open next years, film festival!

13/10/2015 at LFF: The Lobster – part 4 of 5

The Lobster received highly postive reviews from Cannes Film Festival last May 2015. The strange story is about the near future, a dystopia, where The laws of The government are that people must live as couples. When they are no longer ‘in love’ they are taken to The Hotel, where they must find a romantic partner in 45 days. If they failed, they are to transformed into an animals and released into the woods. I am waiting for this film to be released with subtitles!

At the gala, Olivia Coleman (Broadchurch on ITV and Hot Fuzz) arrived and she was greeting the fans. I took a selfie:

Then the one of Ireland’s rising stars in Hollywood, the actor, Colin Farrell arrived and immediately began signing autographs and posed with fans for selfies.

He came towards me, I politely asked him for a picture and he posed:

I thanked him for selfie. I easily know him from many films: In Bruges, Miami Vice, Phone Booth and recently the HBO TV series, the second season of True Decetive (I need to catch up and watch it soon). I already have his autograph two years ago (Click here).

Rachel Weisz arrived but I didn’t get her autograph because she was busying with the media. Next time?

11/10/2015 at LFF: Black Mass – part 3 of 5

Black Mass directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart), a crime drama in Boston joins the ranks of ‘The Departed’ and legendary TV series, The Wire. The true story on based is about the infamous Irish American gangster, Jimmy ‘Whitey’ Bulger (Johnny Depp) who becomes an informat for FBI and his brother, Billy Bulger (Benedict Cumberbatch), a political rising star on track to become a state senator.

I attended the film gala I saw around 300 fans because Johnny Depp is very popular. There were loads of women are huge fans of the attractive actor, 52 years old (If you don’t believe his real age, go to check his age on Wikipedia or IMDb). It was crazy.

I was very luckly because I was in the front of the pen, next to the wheelchairs area opposite Odeon cinema. It was not a bad place to be.

The gala began, Benedict Cumberbatch arrived. He was very busying with the media.

Then the film’s director, Scott Cooper was greeting the fans. I took this picture:

I didn’t remember him but he played a small part in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) but I almost recognised him when I watched as Lt. Joseph Morrison in Gods and Generals (2003). Which was a prequel to the 1993 classic “Gettysburg” when I researched it on IMDb.

Finally, Johnny Depp and his wife, Amber Heard (I met her at a premiere at end of June) arrived on the red carpet. The fans screamed when they saw him!

When Johnny Depp finished with the media he immediately began signing his autographs and posing with fans for pictures. His agents were annoyed and they said to us, “No photos. Autographs only”.

Johnny didn’t listen to them. He quickly posed with me and I took this selfie:

The picture made me happy. I already love it. Also I got his autograph:

I thanked him. Meanwhile Benedict Cumberbatch finished with the media and I was very close to getting a picture with him but it didn’t happen this time. But I was still happy that I got picture with Johnny Depp.

8/10/2015 at LFF: Trumbo – part 2 of 5

Following the post opening night gala. The upcoming film gala is Trumbo. Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad and Argo) plays Dalton Trumbo, the famous Hollywood screenwriter who was blacklisted after refusing to testify before the House Commmitte on Un-American Activities in 1947.

I always want to meet Bryan Cranston because I am huge fan of the TV series, Breaking Bad (2008 to 2013). In fact, I finished watching the TV on DVD around two months two years ago.

The gala began, the casts from the film arrived. I didn’t know that the actor, John Goodman was going to be here but I got three autographs from a few years ago. I failed to get a picture to get a picture with him. Next time?

Bad news, I was gutted that I failed to get a picture with Bryan Cranston. But he gave me the thumbs up when he saw my t-shirt with Walter White/the drug lord, Heisenberg from Breaking Bad. His hand gesture was “Awesome”. I will never forget it. Next time I’m definitely going to meet him again in the future.

Then the legendary actress, Dame Helen Mirren arrived.

Her hat looks beautiful! I still have not forgotten that I gave her my felt tip pen for her autograph my book and she forgot to give it back! That was two years ago.

7/10/2015 at LFF: Opening night gala of Suffragette – part 1 of 5

I’m back!

Sorry I haven’t blogged for a while. I was busy with BFI 59th London Film Festival 2015. My experience of the film galas at Leicester Square was amazing. I attended five upcoming film galas:

  1. Suffragette
  2. Trumbo
  3. Black Mass
  4. The Lobster
  5. Steve Jobs

I missed some galas because I was working and other stuff.

The film festival opened with Suffragette. The film, made by British women, about British women who changed the course of history in 1912/1913 by fighting for the right to vote.

At the premiere, I hoped to meet the actresses, Helen Bonham Carter and Hollywood legend, Mery Streep. I have already met Carey Mulligan in the West End last year (Click here).

Later, I was surprised that Anne-Marie Duff arrived with her husband, the Scottish actor, James McAvoy (X Men series and The Last King of Scotland). He was brilliant, greeting everyone. He always signs his autographs and poses with the fans. I took a selfie:

I thanked him for a picture but I failed to get a picture with his wife. Never mind.

I saw Carey Mulligan and Helen Bonham Carter but I didn’t get their autographs or pictures because they were busying with the media. I was very close to getting a picture with Brendan Gleesson but it didn’t happen this time.

The actor, Ben Whishaw arrived. He was the nicest guy greeting fans. I took this photograph:

Last Mery Streep arrived. She didn’t have time to meet with fans. It was brief but it was good to see her. She is a great actor.

The opening night gala was very busy. And a group of women lay down on the red carpet to protest cuts to women services! Just like the film.
