5/03/2017 at Walker Stalker Con London 2017 - Part 2 of 2

The last day of the convention. I was still meet the celebrities from The Walking Dead. Not finish. And the last actor from Bates Motel (details of that come later!).

Tom Payne as Paul ‘Jesus’ Rovia: I admired the character because he has skills as an escape artist, and has shown himself to be a competent tracker. The actor greeted me and signed his autograph to me:

Nice! Then he posed with me for a photo:

I unexpected that the actor’s same t-shirt I got! I bought it from New York few years ago. Anyway I thanked him for this photo.

Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel Stokes: he was friendly. He posed with me for a photo:

The actor used my iPhone for selfie. I recognised him as Sgt/Det Ellis Carver from HBO series The Wire (2002-2008). I then went to meet Katelyn Nacon as the quiet and mysterious teenager Enid at her table. She was greeting with the fans. She took selfie:

I thanked her for this photo.

Xander Berkeley as Hilltop leader Gregory. I recognised and watched him plays as Todd Voight in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), as George Mason in 24 (TV series 2001 – 2010) before and his appearance are in many films and TVs. He greeted me while signing autograph to me:

And he used my iPhone for selfie:

I thanked him for autograph and photo. Before the convention ends, I decided to go to meet the actor from Bates Motel, Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates is the son of Norma Louise Bates at last minutes. The actor is friendly and took time to signing autograph and personalised for me:

Then I politely asked him for a photo and he posed with me after chat:

I thanked him for this photo. I need to catch up and watch Bates Motel – season 4&5 but I have to wait until the new seasons will arrive on Netflix soon.

End of day 2. The convention was over. I met so many the new celebrities’s faces from The Walking Dead but two actors, Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene and Khary Payton as Ezekiel, I missed because I haven’t a time to meet them – next time. I gutted Steven Yeun as Glenn cancelled attending the convention last year and he can’t make it due his wife was pregnant this year. I hope the actor will attend to the conventions in London in the future. My collection still grows since 2013. Jeffery Dean Morgan and Freddie Highmore are my highlight at Walker Stalker Con of March 2017!

Enjoy read my new blog entry!

4/03/2017 at Walker Stalker Con London 2017 – Part 1 of 2

I attended the Walker Stalker Con London 2017 with my friends’ deafs from Scotland and Germany for two days for the second times. I booked a VIP weekend ticket since March 2016. Also I finally booked the actor Jeffery Dean Morgan photo op at last minutes before sold out last October. I know it was madness. I was very lucky that I got it (details of that come later!).

I already meet the actors and actresses: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Alanna Masterson and etc from The Walking Dead at the convention last year but I have been the new celebrities recently appearing in the tv show. I show you, here is my first day at the convention:

First I met Austin Amelio as the Saviors member, Dwight. He took time while signing autographs and posing with fans for selfies at his table. He posed with me:

I thanked him for this picture. He appeared in Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some!! (2016) and he plays as BV’s brother alongside Ryan Gosling as BV in the upcoming film Song to Song this year.

Michael Taylor was as Nicholas in the 5 and 6 seasons. He signing his autograph and personalised for me:

The character said it to Steven Yeun was as one of my favourite characters, Glenn but I can’t tell you what happened to them if you haven’t watch episode 3: ‘Thank you’ in the six season. Anyway he posed with me for this photo:
The Canadain voice actor Steven Ogg as motion capture artist for the popular game Grand Theft Auto V (2013) in The role of Trevor Philips. Now the actor is currently as the Saviors member, Simon in the six season to present. Also he appeared in new HBO’s Westworld last year. He greeted everyone while signing autographs and selfies with fans at his table. He used my iPhone for selfies:

This picture with Diego from Germany and me by the actor. I sent to him with this picture via whatsapp.

Then he took many selfies with me by he uses my iPhone but I thanked him.

The British actor Lennie James as Morgan James. Also he plays as Sol in Snatch (2000) written and directed by Guy Ritchie. Diego was followed by myself to meet and greet him. He questioned me, “Are you from Germany?” I answered him, “I’m not from Germany.” Because the actor thought we are from the country. I honestly told him that I am British and American. Then he understood it. Kind of awkward but he greeted me and posing with me:

I thanked him for this photo by sign language. Then he signed language back ‘Thank you.’ He will appear in the upcoming film, Blade Runner 2049 this fall.

Scott Wilson was as Hershel Greene (2011-2014). He greeted and posing with me for photo:

It was taken by Luke. Then I took photo of Luke and him by I used his iPhone.

I was in line for a photo op and also I picked up my photo op ticket to Celeb Photo Ops staff and let me go into the photo booth. I saw Jeffery Dean Morgan as the notorious Saviors leader, Negan. The actor (as The Comedian in Watchmen and Denny Duquette in Gery’s Anatomy) is definitely a cool for in the way he greets his fans. Same as Norman Reedus does it. He shook my hand then we posed for a photo:

I love this photo. Awesome. My sister, Lois said in that photo of me and the actor, I look like maybe I could be related like the actor’s an uncle or distant cousin or something because I have similar face shapes and breads. When she saw my Instagram’s recently posted this photo.

Near the end of the first day, Irone Singleton was as T-Dog (2010-2012). He greeted and posing with me for a photo:

End of day one. It was good day. Now to day two.

Oscars 2017!

On Monday 27th February 2017, around 6am in morning before off to work, I know it was very early morning because I was exciting to found out who were the winners of this year. I was shocked that Oscars 2017 is mix-up because La La Land was announced as the best picture winner but then had to hand the award over to Moonlight after a mistake was noticed in what the most crazy in the history of the Academy Awards.

Here are some I met the celebrities who recently won Oscars from London Film Festival last year. Congratulations to:

. Best actor: Casey Affleck (Manchester By The Sea)

. Best director: Damien Chazelle (La La Land)

. Best original screenplay: Kenneth Lonergan (Manchester By The Sea)

Also congratulations to all the winners for Oscars!

12/02/2017 at BAFTA afterparty

Finally I returned to type this new blog post since December 2016. I know that I haven’t type any blog posts while because I was busy something and haven’t meet any celebrities much. Anyway this new blog post is about BAFTA afterparty at Grosvenor House after the award at Royal Albert Hall. I wasn’t attending the award because I knew that fans were already full there by their waistbands at the big place. My friend invited me to go to meet the celebrities at outside of Grosvenor House at last minutes.

At outside of the house,  I got nine pictures with the celebrities. Here they are:

First the actress, Kelly Macdonald (as Diane in Trainspotting and Margaret Thompson in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire) came towards me and she posed with me for this photo:

I thanked her. Kelly was followed by The Hobbit actor Luke Evans. He posed with me:

I thanked him for stopping to pose at the outside of the house before off to the award party. Luke was followed by Russell Tovey (The History Boys and Being Human). He came towards me and he posed with me:

Russell was followed by the legendary fashion designer and film director Tom Ford. I met him again but this picture is much better than the first picture from London Film Festival from last October:

I thanked him. Tom was followed by Star Wars’s Rogue One actress Felicity Jones. I took a picture with her but it was not good:

I was disappointing with it but I definitely get a picture with her again in the future. Felicity was followed by Adulthood actor Noel Clarke. He came towards me and posed with me:

It was good to see him again since the past film premieres. Noel was followed by Trainspotting actor Ewen Bremner (as Spud). He posed with me for this photo:

Then Ewen was followed by Stanley Tucci. He quickly greeted everyone. He posed with me for this photo:

This picture is okay but better than nothing. Anyway Stanley was followed by HBO’s Game of Thrones actor Art Parkinson (as Rickon Stark). He took time to greeted everyone. He posed with me for photo:

I thanked him for this good photo. I mostly missed to get pictures with Andrew Garfield (I hope to meet him at stage door of National theatre this summer), Amy Adams (5th time) , Dev Patel, Viola Davis, Naomie Harris, and Emma Stone – I was very close to get a picture with her when I signed her ‘I’m deaf’ then I was surprised that the actress recognised my sign language and she signed back in sign language ‘I don’t have time. I’m going to drink. I’m sorry.’ I gutted it but it was nice chat with her. I would like to meet her again in the future.

Some I met the celebrities before from premieres, film festival and theatres’ stage doors: Casey Affleck, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Turner, Nicole Kidman, Stephen Fry, and etc. The place was not bad. Congratulations to all winners and nominees for BAFTA 2017.

Review of 2016

2016 has been a difficult year. We lost David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Prince, Muhammad Ali, Gene Wilder, Carrie Fisher and more the celebrities. We failed to help with the refugee crisis. I voted to Remain in the EU and for the Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton but they were lost to Brexiters and the fascist Donald Trump became the 45th president of United States of America (The Simpson’s prediction came true from 15 years ago!). It was truly a shocking year.

Anyway, here is my film review of 2016. I like to do a post at the end of each year. Also I met many celebrities in the past 366 days (leap year). So, rather than do that, I’ve picked some different moments that stand out as the best parts of the year.

Bryan Cranston at BAFTA Awards: The actor got my small book from people in front of me, passing it to him and he signed his autograph then he gave it back to me.

Andrew Lincoln at Walker Stalker Con: Finally I met the Walking Dead actor! He is my favourite character, Rick Grimes in the tv show. It was taken a photo op by a professional photographer at the convention that included I got pictures with all the tv show actors for my collection. I can’t wait to return to the convention next year!

Seth Rogen: One of my favourite comedians posed for a photo with me outside of a hotel in West End. This picture made my day.

HBO’s Game of Thrones actors: I met my favourite characters from the popular tv show. Here’s photos:

Kit Harington (as Jon Snow) at outside of a theatre’s stage door in West End. Two weeks later I met Sophie Turner (as Sansa Stark). I thanked her for stopping to posed with me!

Matt Damon and the premiere of Jason Bourne: He came towards me and immediately greeted me and signed his autograph on my picture!

Then he posed with me for great photo:

That was the European premiere on an evening that included me getting pictures from Alicia Vikander, Julia Stiles, Riz Ahmed and Paul Greengrass.

Jesse Eisenberg and his play, The Spoils at Trafalgar Studio: I met him and he posed with me for a picture last May. I printed my picture with him. After the play in the West End, I went to meet him again with the print and the book. He was as friendly as everyone has always said he is, he signed my picture with him and the book of the play.

Ryan Gosling and Sigourney Weaver at the BFI London Film Festival: Ryan Gosling greeted me and he posed me outside of a hotel in West End after the Q/A – the screening of La La Land (2016) for this fantastic photo:

Also I was thrilled to meet Sigourney Weaver at the gala. I’ve been a fan of her work since I was teenage.

The film festival was very busy over ten nights. I got pictures from Casey Affleck, Miles Teller, Aaron Eckhart, Damian Chazelle, Bill Nighy, Gemma Arterton, Colin Firth, Tom Ford, Cillian Murphy  and more for my collection. I know it is crazy!

Will Smith at Collateral Beauty – European premiere: Finally I met the Fresh Prince after I had missed meeting him few months ago.

This is last of my blog post of 2016. I hope 2017 will better – in all ways.

Happy new year to everyone!

15/12/2016 at Collateral Beauty – European premiere

I was on way to meet my friends at the European premiere of Collateral Beauty (2016) at the Vue cinema, Leicester Square. It was last of the film premieres in 2016. The independent drama with a cast including Will Smith, Edward Norton, Naomie Harris, Helen Mirren (I have met her twice) and the director David Frankel are attends the premiere but Kate Winlest was not going to appear as she is currently filming her upcoming movies. Also Keira Knightley will not be there.

I have followed the rapper and actor Will Smith since 1990s. Also his fame as a rapper under the name ‘The Fresh Prince’. I remember that sometime I watched the popular tv show ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’. Smith changed from tv to film and finally stared in many blockbuster films: Independence Day (1996), Men in Black (1997), Ali (2001), I Robot (2004) and more.

Last April, Easter break I was in New York City. I was with my family walking uptown on Broadway and we turned east towards Lafayette Street and we saw snow on the street?! Why was there? Snow on the street only? And April? We touched the snow. It was not cold. We then realised that it was set up by a film crew preparing to shoot next day. We didn’t know what film was made? Or who was? Acting in the story. The next day I found out that pictures of Will Smith and his co-star Keira Knightley walked on Lafayette Street during filming. Also I found out that; there were photos of Will posed with fans for selfies, outside of his RV on social media. I was gutted that I didn’t know beforehand. I had missed meeting him at DC’s Suicide Squad (2016) – premiere last summer. Finally I tried to meet him at the premiere for this blog post (details of that come later!)

At the premiere, the actors from the film arrived on the red carpet. Naomie Harris greeted everyone. While she signing autographs and selfies with fans. She posed with me for a photo:

Of course my right hand shook with my iPhone’s camera so it was blurry – because the UK weather was very cold and windy. But it is better than nothing. Next time I will get a better better photo with her. Naomie was followed by the Hollywood legend Will Smith who came to greet his fans after he stopped by the press. He came towards me then he posed with me for a photo:

Finally I got this great photo with him! I thanked him for stopping to pose at the premiere. Later I missed the director from the film and Edward Norton. They didn’t sign autographs for fans much as they were busy with the press. Also Helen Mirren appeared on the red carpet but I have met her before. Then I saw the magician,’Dynamo‘ was there to see the movie on the red carpet. I recognised him from the tv show, Dynamo: Magician Impossible from 2011 to 2014. He was friendly and posed with me for a photo:

I thanked him this picture. The premiere ended. It was not bad but I was happy with my picture with Will Smith. Now I am currently writing my upcoming review of 2016.

16/10/2016 at London Film Festival – Part 7 of 7

The closing night gala of the film festival was the film – ‘Free Fire‘ (2016). Written and directed by Ben Wheatley who directed Tom Hiddleston in High-Rise (2015). I would have liked to meet the recent Oscar winner, Brie Larson For the best actress for Room (2015) but she was not attending the gala due to currently filming her upcoming movies. Never mind. I will meet her someday in the future. Anyway I got eight pictures from the gala. Here they are:

Sam Riley (Control, On the Road and Maleficent) came towards me and he posed with me for this photo.

I thanked him. Sam was followed by Armie Hammer’s wife, the television personality, Elizabeth Chamers. She greeted everyone. She signed autographs and posed with the fans for selfies.

Armie Hammer also appeared on the red carpet but I already have picture with him. Elizabeth was followed by the Northern Irish actor, Michael Smiley (The World’s End, The Lobster and The Other Boleyn Girl). He’s friendly with everyone. He posed with me for this photo.

Michael was followed by Babou Ceesay. He posed with me for this photo.

I thanked him. I honestly didn’t watch him in ’71 (2014) and Eye in the Sky (2016) but I might watch them soon. Ceesay was followed by Enzo Cilenti (Game of Thrones, and The Martian). He came towards me then he posed with me for photo.

Enzo was then followed by the Irish actor, Cillian Murphy. He is friendly and greeted everyone. He posed with me for this photo.

I thanked him. The actor and the British American director, Christopher Nolan have been collaborating on films since: Batman film series, Inception and the upcoming movie, Dunkirk (2017). Murphy was followed by the director, Ben Wheatley. He came towards me and he posed with me for this photo.

Ben was followed by the South African actor, Sharlto Copley (District 9 and Chappie). He took his time signing autographs and taking selfies with the fans.

The film festival ended and I have a lot of good photos for my collection. My highlight of the film festival was meeting Ryan Gosling in 2016. I will definitely type my new blog post about my review of 2016 before the end of year. Anyway I will return to the film festival next year!

14/10/2016 at London Film Festival – Part 6 of 7

On Friday, in the early evening I went to the film headline gala: Nocturnal Animals at the the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square. The film is written and directed by the legendary fashion designer, Tom Ford. This is his second film after his film directoral debut of ‘A Single Man’ (2009). I haven’t see it yet but I added it in my list on Netflix, I will watch it someday. The cast line up looked good: Amy Adams, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Armie Hammer and Tom Ford are attends the gala but Jake Gyllenhaal was not going to appear. I already met him at Broadway’s stage door a few years ago. I hoped to get picture with Amy Adams because I have failed three times in the past.

At the gala, a car arrived and Tom Ford stepped out. He immediately greeted the fans. While signing autographs and posing with them for selfies. I took photo:

I thanked him. Ford was followed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson who greeted everyone just as Tom Ford had. He posed with me for a photo:

It was good to see him again. I last saw him at the Avengers: Age of Ultron – European premiere last year. I am gutted that I didn’t take a picture with Amy Adams for the fourth time! Meanwhile Armie Hammer (The Social Network) came towards me and he posed with me for a photo:

I thanked him for this photo. I know it was not best quality but better than nothing. Armie was followed by Colin Firth who attended the gala I was surprised. He posed with me for a photo:

I did not expect him to be there. I thanked him for this amazing picture. I’m still typing my last post from the film festival’s closing night gala of ‘Free Fire’ (2016) coming soon.

13/10/2016 at London Film Festival – Part 5 of 7

I was on my way to the film headline gala: Their Finest (2016) at the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square after I finished my work early. It was worth doing. At the gala, the first actors to appear were on the red carpet: Bill Nighy, Gemma Arterton and Sam Claflin. The first to come over to the fans was the actor and wife of Sam Claflin, Laura Haddock. She came over – and was friendly. She posed with me for a photo:

I know her as Alison alongside Simon Bird (as Will Mackenzie) in The Inbetweeners Movie (2011). Also she appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). Laura was followed by Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace). She greeted everyone while signing autographs and posing with the fans for selfies. Here we are:

Gemma was followed by the legendary Bill Nighy who came towards to the fans after he stopped by the press. While signing autographs and posing with them for selfies – I took this photo with him:

I was happy with this upgraded picture which is much better that the first picture when I met him at West End’s stage door few years ago. I thanked him. Bill was followed by Sam Claflin (The Hunger Game film series). He came towards me then he posed with me for a photo:

Finally I got this picture with him after two failed attempts from the previous premieres. I thanked him for this picture. The end of the film gala. It was not bad. I am still typing my remaining posts from the film festival more soon.

9/10/2016 at London Film Festival – Part 4 of 7

On Sunday, I went to the film strand gala: Bleed for This (2016). Executive produced by Martin Scorsese, it is based on the true story of the world champion boxer Vinny ‘Paz’ Pazienza. This drama recounts one of the most unlikely returns in the sporting history. The gala took place at Embankment Garden cinema. I took photograph:

It was a new cinema for the film festival only. I hoped to meet the actor (as Vinny ‘Paz’ Pazienza) from the film, Miles Teller (Whiplash, War Dogs and Divergent) again, because I have a little blurry picture with him when I met him at the film festival’s gala: Whiplash (2014) for the first time. I hope to get a upgraded picture with him soon.

The gala began, the cast from the film arrived on the red carpet. First Miles Teller came towards me and he posed with me for a photo:

This photo is much better that the first picture from a few years ago. I thanked him. The actor was followed by Aaron Eckhart (as Harvey Dent/Two-Face in The Dark Knight) who was friendly as he posed with me for a photo:

I know this photo is not the best but it is better than nothing. Aaron was followed by HBO’s Game of Thrones actor, Ciaran Hinds who greeted everyone, while signing autographs and posing with the fans for selfies:

The fourth day of the film festival was not bad but I was mostly happy with the upgraded picture with Miles Teller. I hope to get a better picture with Aaron Eckhar, whenever I meet him again.

What did you know?

  • Miles Teller dropped out of the film project of La La Land to pursue another film project- Bleed for This
  • Ryan Gosling replaced him in La La Land during the film pre-production last year.

This is very interesting. I expect to see both the films when the films are released this winter.
